1. Nature of the Service

esim.co does not sell eSIMs, mobile plans, or telecommunications services. We provide informational comparisons and redirect users to third-party providers via affiliate links. esim.co is not a telecommunications provider and does not hold any telecom licenses.

2. Personal Data We Do Not Collect

Comparing plans does not require you to submit:

• A traveler account or login credentials
• Names, email addresses, or contact details
• Payment or billing information

Comparison pages do not require traveler profiles. If you contact us, we receive the information you provide. Hosting and the limited measurement described below involve technical data processing.

3. Geo-Blocking & Regional Availability

The website performs automated geolocation checks to determine regional service availability. These checks operate at two levels:

• Server-side: CDN-level geo-restrictions using Netlify's edge infrastructure
• Client-side: IP-based verification using a third-party geolocation provider

The availability decision is made from the request location. Hosting infrastructure may process connection data; visitor and reliability counters are separate from the access decision.

The result of these checks may restrict access to certain parts of the website or trigger a redirection to an informational notice page for users located in restricted regions.

These access checks do not create a traveler marketing profile.

4. Hosting and Technical Logs

esim.co is hosted on cloud infrastructure providers (Netlify). Hosting providers can process technical traffic data including:

• IP addresses
• Request timestamps
• User-Agent (browser/device type)
• Referrer URLs

Technical processing supports delivery, security and abuse prevention. For questions about applicable processing arrangements, contact privacy@esim.co.

esim.co does not use these raw infrastructure logs for marketing or user profiling. Data is retained by the processor according to their retention policies for security auditing.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The comparison site counts outbound provider clicks and page visits, and records limited session summaries, advertisement events and runtime errors. These support aggregate reporting, abuse checks and reliability. Click records use provider/destination, device category, a normalized referral-source category and time. Runtime reports include a scrubbed error message, route and device category. The standard Google Analytics page/event integration is disabled. The comparison code does not create persistent advertising identifiers or load cross-site tracking pixels. This does not mean that no technical data is processed by our hosting services.

Browser storage is used for features such as remembering feedback, temporary referral attribution, visited-path counters and recovery from outdated assets. Administrative and advertiser tools use session storage for access credentials. Clearing browser storage resets these values. Third-party providers and affiliate networks may set their own cookies after you follow an outbound link.

7. Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click a link and make a purchase on a partner's website, esim.co may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

All transactions and data processing after redirection are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third-party providers.

esim.co is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or data handling policies of external websites linked from this site.

9. Legal Basis (GDPR)

Where applicable under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), processing is based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) for regulatory compliance checks, subject to the applicable requirements and the processing described in this policy.

Where limited technical log access occurs via infrastructure providers, such access is based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) for ensuring website security, stability, and abuse prevention.

esim.co does not sell, share, or disclose personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
