Technical Dataset Scope

esim.co is an independent comparison engine designed to enable algorithmic comparison of mobile data plans for travel connectivity. We do not sell eSIMs or accept payment to alter rankings.
Our platform operates as a neutral data interface, helping you find the best eSIM plan for your needs based on transparent, practical, and measurable factors.
Comparison Fields and Ranking
These fields help compare and filter offers. They are not all inputs to the ranking formula:
Live Integrations & Build Snapshots
esim.co sources plan data from official provider APIs, provider-supplied CSV feeds, and structured build-time catalog inputs. These inputs are normalized during the build pipeline for prerendering, fast delivery, and fallback continuity. Structured inputs may require maintenance; a snapshot is not a live price guarantee.
Price
Cost per GB, total plan price, and value for money. Lower prices generally rank higher when other factors are equal.
Data Allowance
Total GB included in the plan. We clearly indicate unlimited data plans where available.
Validity Period
How long the plan remains active. Longer validity periods may be better for extended trips.
Coverage
Destination-level availability and general coverage suitability for travelers. We do not infer or publish carrier-level routing details unless a provider explicitly exposes them in a public product feed.
Features
Additional capabilities such as hotspot/tethering support, calling minutes, SMS, and data top-up options.
Deterministic Mathematical Neutrality
Best Value is a separate view for paid fixed-data plans. It preserves destination-match priority, then sorts within each priority group by total plan price divided by GB. Unlimited and pay-as-you-go plans are excluded. Coverage, hotspot and validity are comparison or filter fields, not additional weights in the price-per-GB formula.esim.co contains zero "Sponsored", "Boosted", or "Featured" placements. Sorting is deterministic and independent of provider size or affiliate status.
Algorithmic Integrity
Rankings are automatically generated by systemic rules. No provider can influence their default position through payment or commercial agreements. Live adapters are used where available, while automated build snapshots protect continuity when an endpoint is unavailable.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not accept payment to improve a provider's ranking
- We do not let affiliate relationships solely determine rankings
- We do not hide negative aspects of any provider
- We do not guarantee any specific performance or outcome
Sorting Options
Cheapest First orders the matching plans by total listed USD price. Pay-as-you-go entries show a per-GB rate, not a prepaid bundle total.

All Plans, Unlimited, Short Stay (1–10 days), Long Stay (10–365 days), and Calls & SMS are category/filter views. Provider, data allowance and validity controls narrow the results. The standard destination view initially selects 10 GB. Most Clicked, where shown, is a contextual badge and does not reorder plans; Most Popular and Most Data are not offered sort controls.
No provider can pay to be shown as the default option.
Data Accuracy
We strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date information. However:
- Prices are reviewed regularly but may change without notice
- Plans from (1GB+) means the lowest listed paid fixed-data plan of at least 1 GB or an unlimited plan, excluding pay-as-you-go rates. Smaller starter bundles may cost less. Individual cards show that offer's listed price; provider checkout is final. Coupon discounts are not affiliate commission rates.
- We recommend verifying current prices on the provider's website before purchasing
- Coverage and network availability are subject to change by providers
