esim.co is an independent comparison engine designed to enable algorithmic comparison of mobile data plans for travel connectivity. We do not sell eSIMs or accept payment to alter rankings.
Our platform operates as a neutral data interface, helping you find the best eSIM plan for your needs based on transparent, practical, and measurable factors.
Ranking Factors
The following factors influence how plans are displayed and compared on esim.co:
Live Integrations & Build Snapshots
esim.co primarily sources plan data through live provider APIs and other official machine-readable integrations. Automated CSV and JSON snapshots are generated from those same API and feed sources during the build pipeline as backup layers for prerendering, fast delivery, and fallback continuity. These are not manually maintained price lists, and we explicitly prohibit web scraping.
Price
Cost per GB, total plan price, and value for money. Lower prices generally rank higher when other factors are equal.
Data Allowance
Total GB included in the plan. We clearly indicate unlimited data plans where available.
Validity Period
How long the plan remains active. Longer validity periods may be better for extended trips.
Coverage
Destination-level availability and general coverage suitability for travelers. We do not infer or publish carrier-level routing details unless a provider explicitly exposes them in a public product feed.
Features
Additional capabilities such as hotspot/tethering support, calling minutes, SMS, and data top-up options.
Deterministic Mathematical Neutrality
Our "Best Value" ranking is a purely mathematical calculation: Total Plan Price ÷ Data Volume (GB). esim.co contains zero "Sponsored", "Boosted", or "Featured" placements. Sorting is deterministic and independent of provider size or affiliate status.
Algorithmic Integrity
Rankings are automatically generated by systemic rules. No provider can influence their default position through payment or commercial agreements. Live adapters are used where available, while automated build snapshots protect continuity when an endpoint is unavailable.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not accept payment to improve a provider's ranking
- We do not let affiliate relationships solely determine rankings
- We do not hide negative aspects of any provider
- We do not guarantee any specific performance or outcome
Sorting Options
Users can sort plans according to their preferences:
- Best Value: Lowest cost per GB
- Lowest Price: Cheapest total plan price
- Most Data: Highest data allowance first
The default sort order may vary by page and is designed to show the most relevant options first based on objective criteria.
No provider can pay to be shown as the default option.
Data Accuracy
We strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date information. However:
- Prices are reviewed regularly but may change without notice
- All prices shown are "starting at" rates
- We recommend verifying current prices on the provider's website before purchasing
- Coverage and network availability are subject to change by providers

esim.co participates in affiliate programs. When you click through to a provider and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
